A Very Merry Christmas

We celebrated Christmas at home, a first in seven years of marriage, and it was wonderful. I spent the days leading up to Christmas baking up a storm --- Aunt Laura's cookie cut-outs, cranberry scones, cinnamon roles & chocolate chip cookies. Grandma & Grandpa O came to celebrate with us. And it snowed Christmas Eve. Pure magic!

We went to the children's mass on Christmas Eve. Like every other kid there, Cora was wiggly and rambunctious. When the children's choir sang "Away in the Manger," she busted out loud enough for everyone around us to hear, "This is my favorite song!"

Back at the house and so excited to have a party house for Jesus' birthday.

The Christmas Eve spread, complete with Grandma's amazing homemade vegetable soup and bread.

Is this a happy kid or what?

Evidence of Santa's visit...

Santa went overboard. His elves hand-painted this vintage baby doll bed and high chair.

Such a great night.
