Fall Fun

Autumn's official kick-off: The Annual Steam Show! We went with the Maher family again, which I guess makes this a tradition.

Is there anything more fun than jumping in a hay loft?

Corn maze. Thankfully, we didn't loose anyone.

Liese and I drove a tractor while the big kids rode the Bumpy Wagon.

And of course, we ate ham and beans with corn bread and sweet tea and homemade fruit pies all home cooked. Wonderful day!

In early October, we went apple picking at a small, family run orchard. It was great!

Sampling an apple or two

Cora is quite an industrious apple picker

We made friends with the neighbor's horses

The horses know the routine and came running when they saw us at the fence dangling apples for them. Cora was in heaven.

Afterwards, we went to the little town's fall festival where they had bounce houses and cider with homemade donuts. And now all this reminiscing about food has made me hungry!

And, of course, IC's Homecoming:
